Flood water
The Cinco Acequias (Ortega, Garcia, La Mesilla, Herrera, La Lomita) engaged Carlos Salazar and his company to clear a path through the debris washed down in the flood that occurred October 19th. This work restored the Santa Cruz River to its original stream bed and allows the ditches to once again control the water at the presa and flush sand at the desague back into the river.
